Community Guidelines
Effective September 7, 2026
Trystle is a community built on the idea that attention can be a force for good. These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service and apply to everything you post, send, or share on Trystle. They exist to keep the community safe, respectful, and focused on the mission: share the Spoils.
1. The Spirit of the Community
Treat others the way you would in person. Be kind, be honest, and remember that the person on the other side of the screen is another person trying to do something better with their time online.
2. No Harassment, Hate Speech, or Threats
We do not tolerate content that attacks, intimidates, demeans, or threatens anyone based on who they are. This includes:
- Harassment, bullying, or repeated unwanted contact;
- Hate speech directed at race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected group;
- Violent threats, incitement to violence, or doxxing;
- Coordinated abuse, brigading, or any attempt to drive someone off the platform;
- Unsolicited or predatory contact directed at a minor — defined for purposes of this section as anyone under the age of 18 — including any attempt to build a private or secretive relationship with a minor, request personal information, or move a conversation with a minor off-platform. This is treated as a zero-tolerance violation resulting in immediate, permanent account removal — there is no warning tier for this category.
3. No Nudity or Sexual Content
Trystle is not a place for adult content. Do not post nudity, pornography, sexual acts, or sexually explicit material. This includes non-consensual intimate imagery, deepfake sexual content, and any sexualized content involving minors, in any form. Content that sexually exploits or endangers a minor results in immediate permanent removal and is reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and to law enforcement as required by law. Artistic or health content that includes nudity may be removed if it is not clearly labeled and contextually appropriate.
4. No Spam, Fake Accounts, or Referral Abuse
Keep the community clean. We do not allow:
- Spam, repetitive posts, or misleading links designed to drive traffic elsewhere;
- Fake accounts, multiple accounts used to manipulate the platform, or bot activity;
- Referral abuse, including sharing codes through spam, creating fake accounts to farm points, or any other attempt to exploit the Spoils system;
- The sale, trade, promotion, or facilitation of illegal goods or services, including but not limited to controlled substances, weapons, counterfeit goods, or stolen property.
Referral bonuses are only awarded when a real new user joins through a genuine invite. Artificial or repeated sign-ups will be reversed and may result in suspension.
5. No Impersonation or Misinformation
Do not pretend to be someone else, including other users, public figures, brands, or organizations. Clearly labeled parody, fan, or commentary accounts are permitted, provided they cannot reasonably be mistaken for the real person, brand, or organization.
Do not spread harmful misinformation, especially content that could cause real-world harm around health, safety, elections, or emergencies.
If you are paid, given free products, or otherwise compensated to promote something, say so clearly and conspicuously in the post itself. Undisclosed paid promotion violates these guidelines and federal advertising rules.
6. What Happens If You Break a Rule
We enforce these guidelines fairly and proportionally. Depending on the severity and history of the behavior, consequences may include:
- Warning: a notice explaining what crossed the line and how to avoid it in the future;
- Content removal: the post, comment, or media in question is taken down;
- Temporary suspension: limited or no access to posting or interacting for a set period;
- Permanent ban: account removal for serious, repeated, or egregious violations.
We may also remove or reverse any points, referrals, or rewards earned through rule-breaking behavior.
Enforcement decisions, including what constitutes a violation and which consequence applies, are made at Trystle's sole discretion. We aim to be fair and consistent, but we are not obligated to take a specific action for a specific violation, and prior enforcement decisions do not bind future ones. Nothing in this paragraph limits any right you have under applicable law, including any right to be given reasons for a moderation decision or to have it reviewed.
Where we reasonably believe content or conduct on Trystle involves illegal activity, a threat to someone's safety, or a legal obligation to do so, we may cooperate with law enforcement, including preserving and disclosing relevant account information as permitted or required by law.
Appeals: If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you can request a review by contacting hello@trystle.com within six months of the action. We will confirm receipt, have the appeal reviewed by someone who was not involved in the original decision where practical, and give you a written outcome. If you are in the European Union, you also have the rights described in Articles 20 and 21 of the Digital Services Act, including access to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body.
7. How to Report Content or a User
If you see something that violates these guidelines, report it directly from the post, comment, or profile in question. Our moderation team reviews every report. We will confirm receipt of your report and, where we can, tell you what action we took within 72 hours. You can also reach us at report@trystle.com.
False or malicious reports may also result in enforcement action, so please use this tool in good faith.
8. Updates to These Guidelines
The platform evolves, and so may these rules. If we make material changes, we will notify you before they take effect, consistent with the notice process described in our Terms of Service. Continued use of Trystle means you accept the updated guidelines.
9. Questions?
If you are unsure whether something belongs on Trystle, err on the side of respect. You can always reach us at hello@trystle.com.
